Leasing Electric Vehicles

Electric Vehicles (EVs) are the future, and Woodfield Facilities is dedicated to helping you find the most suitable vehicle at the best possible price.
Benefits:
BEVs reduce running costs compared to conventional cars.
Electric cars overview
Instead of a fuel tank, an electric vehicle has an onboard battery that gets charged through an electricity supply and then stores and uses that energy to power an electric motor and set the wheels in motion.... On a full charge, a standard electric car can now run more than 400km before needing to be recharged.

Electric cars function by plugging into a charge point and taking electricity from the grid. They store the electricity in rechargeable batteries that power an electric motor, which turns the wheels. Electric cars accelerate faster than vehicles with traditional fuel engines – so they feel lighter to drive.

Types of Electric Vehicles

Types of EVs: All-Electric vehicles (AEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). AEVs include Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEVs).

Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) Powered solely by an electric battery, with no gas engine parts or secondary source of power.

Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) is a type of hybrid electric vehicle that combines a petrol or diesel engine with an electric motor and a large battery that can be recharged by plugging into an electrical outlet or electric vehicle charging station.

Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) are powered by a combination of an internal combustion engine and an electric motor, which uses energy stored in batteries. A hybrid electric vehicle cannot be plugged in to charge the battery and is self-charging.

For drivers in and around London, another major running cost-benefit is available as part of the Congestion Charge scheme and Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ). All electric cars (currently defined as vehicles that emit up to 75 g/km CO2, have a minimum electric range of 20 miles, and meet at least Euro 6 emissions standards) are eligible for the Cleaner Vehicle Discount, although vehicles need to be registered and pay an annual £10 fee.

Why should we switch to electric cars?

They can reduce emissions and even save you money. Fueling with electricity offers some advantages not available in conventional internal combustion engine vehicles. Because electric motors react quickly, EVs are very responsive and have very good torque.....
But EVs provide more than just individual benefits like charging from home.
